I received my free samples of Sure Compressed deodorant spray from BzzAgent.co.uk about a couple of weeks ago now, and have been using it since in place of my usual deodorant. Now, I'm a roll-on kinda girl, always have been. I liked the idea that a roll-on was more environmentally friendly, both with the gas and the amount of packaging, as well as liking the fact that I wasn't getting a freezing cold shot of liquid blasted at my armpits every morning, with the residual gas choking me where I stood! As such, I was a little dubious about giving the new Sure compressed a try - even though Sure are a favourite brand!
To say that my opinion on using a spray deodorant has changed is an understatement! I love the new 75ml size of the can - although I have nothing to compare it to as far as how long it lasts. Not only is the size more environmentally friendly, but because the deodorant is compressed, it uses less gas. The blast of cold liquid that I was expecting never came - another bonus - and there doesn't seem to be as much gas floating in the air for me to choke on as I remembered from my youth. Really starting to tick some boxes now!
As a childminder, I walk - lots! My average week consists of 18 miles of school runs, all on foot, so whichever deodorant I use needs to be able to cope with that. Sure compressed did an admiral job - I never once noticed any perspiration activity - another box ticked.
Now, as I said at the beginning, I've always been a roll-on girl, and I didn't expect that to change at all. It has. Gone is the morning wait for my deodorant to dry sufficiently for me to put on my clothes, gone the stickiness while I wait, gone the regular ability to put on too much and have to wait even longer! Sure compressed dries instantly - no waiting, no mess. I'm a changed woman. Sure compressed ticked all the boxes - and some!
